Why should I book Legends of Sound for my event?
We have over 35 years combined, experience in the music industry, ranging from corporate events, private functions, theatre shows, weddings and world tours just to name a few. Legends of Sound are totally dedicated to ensuring your event is perfect and we pride ourselves on excellent customer service and communication. We understand that your event is special, and that you only get one chance to get it right. Our extensive repertoire ensures we play something for everybody at your party ensuring your guests experience an unforgettable night’s entertainment.
What events do Legends of Sound cater for?
We cater for a wide range of functions from 80’s themed nights, weddings, private parties, corporate events, Christmas parties, theatre shows, pubs, clubs, festivals and holiday camp entertainment. Our dedicated musicians pride themselves in delivering the highest standards of musical entertainment whatever the event.
Do you provide a DJ Service?
Yes. A DJ service is included with all booking. Music will be provided before, between and after the band sets if required. We carry an external hard drive with over 8000 songs. In the unfortunate event that we do not have a specific song we do have access to online music streaming apps. Requests are encouraged!
How much do you charge?
Prices are inclusive of the following;
Arrive from 6pm, set up and sound checked by 7.30pm.
Background music on arrival.
Professional DJ service before, between and after our live sets up until midnight.
Two sixty minute sets of live party music, finishing by midnight
Very high quality PA & lighting provided, suitable for audiences of up to 300 people.

How do I book you and confirm my booking?
Please use the enquiry form on this website for all bookings. All booking are confirmed with a 10% deposit. A receipt and contract will be sent out to you to sign and return. Due to the demand of our work we are unable to provisionally book any dates without a 10% deposit.
What happens after I have paid my deposit and received confirmation?
We will send you a form to confirm all details two weeks prior to your event. For wedding booking we will arrange to meet up with you approx. 4 weeks prior to your wedding to discuss your day in more detail for example timings, special requests etc. If there is anything you would like to ask or discuss between this times please feel free to contact us. We are here to help and pride ourselves on excellent customer service.
How long do you play for?
We usually play two one hour sets but this can be divided into three 40 minute sets if you prefer.
For weddings we also offer a 45 minute acoustic set or hire of our professional pianist / guitarist to perform during the wedding breakfast or drinks reception. Performance volumes on this service are respected, ensuring that your guests will still be able to converse with each other.
There is an additional cost for this service.
Can I pick the bands playlist?
We are more than happy for you to pick songs from our repertoire, we do however, prefer that the order in which they are played is decided by ourselves.
Where do you travel to?
We are able to travel both throughout the UK and internationally.
Do you have public liability insurance?
Yes we have up to date PAT certification and have Public Liability Insurance covering up to £5M. This can be provided upon request.
How much space do you need?
We typically need a performance area of 6x4 meters. If your venue is on the smaller side don’t worry we are very experienced in making the most of the space available.
Do you have your own lighting?
Yes we have 6 super bright moving head LED fixtures, 6 super bright LED par cams and a powerful blue and green laser lighting effect. We also have smoke and Haze machines.
What are the bands power requirements?
We usually request 2 double 13 amp supplies near to the stage area. We use LED lighting which keeps our power consumption down. We run our lighting from one power source and our audio equipment from another, so as to reduce the risk of noise interference.
If your event is in a marquee please inform us and we will contact the marquee company for you to discuss our power requirements.
How loud is the band?
Legends of Sound are a live rock / pop 5 piece function band. Our music only allows us to turn down so far to avoid losing the energy and atmosphere. We do however ensure that our volume levels are such that people can still converse around the room but the dancefloor remains lively.
How long does the band take to set up?
We take an hour and a half to set up and perform a sound check. Stairs and lifts may increase this time scale. If your event is running late we will still need the allocated time to set up. We will of course be a quick as we can.
Do Legends of Sound have any specific requirements?
Yes, we request a room in which to change, something to drink for the duration of our time at the venue. If we are required to be at the venue all day we request that a meal be provided for us.
How long is your break?
Our break is dependent on the event type, we do however we usually take between 20 - 30 minutes.
